It is never too late to start on a new path

One of the best parts of my job is welcoming new graduates and interns into the professional services firms I work with. This morning, a great room of new Accountants joined the ranks of Pitcher Partners.

On International Women's Day, I was pleased to see that half were women, but as importantly, there was also a range of ages. I met a woman I had worked with elsewhere, when she was working in the accounts department processing payments and invoices. This morning, here she was sitting proud and centre of a group of younger graduates, for who I am sure her hands-on experience will be invaluable.

There is no such thing as one path to the future. We need to keep an eye on where we want to be, and never think the time has passed when we can get there.
