In the lead-up to the Federal Budget 2017–2018, the many late nights for all of us in marketing pays off when you get such short, sharp, business-focused analysis (rather than just a repetition of the facts), from accounting and advisory firms such as the team at Pitcher Partners. A strong, guaranteed funding stream is what is needed if we are to look after the most disadvantaged in our society. While it is great to finally see real, long-term measures taken to shore up the gaps in funding the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS), many of us are concerned that the monies raised will not be quarantined for these purposes, but lost to general revenue.
